Dash comes from 2 lineages of fineness. Athena has proved herself to be very fine, even though she is dark : she still has a low micron of 23,3 at 4 years old ! As for Rafael, well what can you say about a male that is 16,9 microns at 3 years old ?!?! Rafael is well known for his fineness and has been the corner stone of Qolmesa's breeding program for many years when he was imported from Peru. Dash has showed us he learned from his parents, he was only 20,4 at 1 year old ! For an animal as dark as him, this is exceptionnal.
Both Athena and Rafael are also known for their very gentel and respectful disposition. Rafael is a real macho but can be approached by humans very easily. Dash is exactly the same. Very proud, even if he's the youngest of the herd, yet very gentle. He always comes to give me a little kiss when I enter the pasture.
Dash is the spitting image of his big brother, Jazz. Perfect conformation, short nose, great coverage ! His crimp is very regular over his body, a very nice tight high frequency crimp. His density is kicking in, I can't wait to see him after the next shearing !
